Fekkai vs Blow – The Battle of the Dry Shampoo

Fekkai Au Naturel Dry Shampoo $23

Blow Faux Dry Shampoo $20

Lets face it!  We don’t all have time to wash our hair every single day, and if we do, we get scolded by our hair stylists for doing so.  For those days that we need to freshen up our tresses, many of us reach for our trusted and much needed dry shampoo.

I’ve been experimenting with Fekkai Au Naturel Dry shampoo and Blow Faux Dry shampoo lately to see which one I like best.  The good news is that both freshen up hair and absorb excess oil from the scalp.  The Fekkai shampoo just does it better.  The Au Naturel dry shampoo tends to work faster on my locks, absorbing excess oil without using a lot of product.  Blow does work, but I feel I have to use much more product to get the same result.  While both products keep my hair looking presentable so I don’t embarrass myself in public, I found that neither product can be applied directly on the scalp because the white powder is extremely hard to remove…  and if you’re 5’1″ like me, most of the time you have people looking at the top of your head.  Overall, washing your hair is best, but if you’re out of time and need a quick fix both products will definitely get the job done.

Overall Grade:
Fekkai Au Naturel Dry Shampoo – A
Blow Faux Dry Shampoo – B

Welcome to Pink Layers. I'm very excited to share with you guys my thoughts and ideas on beauty and fashion. My love affair with makeup, clothes and accessories started at a very young age and has only grown with time; unfortunately my bank account has shrunk because of it. Hopefully my blog will help and guide you into making wise purchasing decisions. After all, as Coco Chanel once said, "A girl should be two things... classy and fabulous."
