I’ve had a few people ask me what I use on my lips to keep them moisturized now that the temperature outside is slowly dropping. I talked about my favorite lip scrub here, but for lip balms and chap-sticks I decided to take a picture of my collection to show you guys. For the past few years I’ve found myself craving the little tubes of moisture and have bought quite a few… all for comparison’s sake. Currently on my nightstand I have Rosebud Salve, The Lip Slip, La Mer Lip Balm, Yu-Be Lip Therapy and Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. I don’t know why I feel the need to have so many (I don’t even use them every night even though I should)… but something about the promise of soft kissable lips persuades me to buy another tube each time.
My two favorites are La Mer’s lip balm and the Rosebud Salve. They both keep my lips very moisturized without making my lips addicted to the balm. The Lip Slip, which has a cult following from bloggers is good too, but I find it too thick to wear at night. The consistency is almost lip-gloss like, so I prefer to wear it during the day. I usually save the Sugar lip treatment for when I go to the beach or when I’m outside in the sun because it has SPF 15. Last but not least the Yu-Be lip therapy is good to have in your purse when you’re in a desperate need of some moisture on your dry lips.
