Makeup at the beach… To wear or not to wear!

Wearing a full face of makeup at the beach is definitely not a good look, but if you can’t bare the thought of going out in public with a naked face, try these options instead.  These are my favorite products to wear when lounging by the pool or the beach.  The tinted moisturizer (reviewed here) gives me a hint of coverage… just enough to even out my skin tone.  The mousse blush from Maybeline (as seen here) is one of my all time favorites and can even be used as an eyeshadow, depending on how made-up you want to look.  Whether you’re a hardcore swimmer or not, always opt for waterproof mascara when you’re by the water.  Rackoon eyes are not cute on anyone!  And lastly, you’ll need a lip moisturizer with some SPF.  This one from Mac is great… gives me a hint of color and moisture at the same time.  What’s your beach makeup routine?

From left to right: Kiehls Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+ $34;  Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 $42;  Maybelline Volume Express One by One Waterproof Mascara $7.99;  Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin $6.99;  Mac Tinted Lip Conditioner SPF 15 in Petting Pink $14.50

About Pink Layers

Welcome to Pink Layers. I'm very excited to share with you guys my thoughts and ideas on beauty and fashion. My love affair with makeup, clothes and accessories started at a very young age and has only grown with time; unfortunately my bank account has shrunk because of it. Hopefully my blog will help and guide you into making wise purchasing decisions. After all, as Coco Chanel once said, "A girl should be two things... classy and fabulous."
