Lush Daddy-O Shampoo

Purple love

I’ve been blonde for the past 15 years, so I know I jumped on the purple shampoo bandwagon a tad bit late. The fact is, I always wanted to try a purple shampoo, but I could never find one at any of the salons I visited, so I usually stuck to my trusted Kerastase. When I finally discovered Daddy-O (a purple shampoo) at Lush I purchased it immediately!  Purple shampoo is usually intended to be used by blondes. It’s meant to remove dull, brassy tones, and keep the color brighter.

The first thing you’ll notice about this shampoo is the smell. It smells like a bouquet of roses, violets and bergamot. This is the first shampoo that I’ve tried, where I can still smell the shampoo on my hair, after I have blow dried my tresses. Definitely a plus in my book! Besides smelling fantastic, this shampoo truly is amazing. Its very gentle on my scalp, removes product buildup, and leaves my hair so soft, smooth and silky from the first wash. My hair is super manageable whenever I use it. The formula is not very thick, but it still foams up quite well. If you’re worried about staining your hair or shower… don’t. The shampoo rinses out completely, so no purple evidence is left behind. I also heard that this shampoo works great on brunettes as well and it doesn’t alter the color… it just makes the hair very shiny. If you’re in the market for a new shampoo, I definitely recommend you give Daddy-O a try!

Welcome to Pink Layers. I'm very excited to share with you guys my thoughts and ideas on beauty and fashion. My love affair with makeup, clothes and accessories started at a very young age and has only grown with time; unfortunately my bank account has shrunk because of it. Hopefully my blog will help and guide you into making wise purchasing decisions. After all, as Coco Chanel once said, "A girl should be two things... classy and fabulous."
